phpMyAdmin is a web panel for managing MySQL and MariaDB. It makes it easy to browse tables, run SQL and import or export data. It does not create a separate database or add a new account: you log in with the credentials of an existing database. When you connect a MySQL or MariaDB module during installation, the port and login details are saved to PHPMYADMIN-SETUP.txt. The panel remains protected by a login form.

phpMyAdmin uses 256 MB of the 1 GB memory included with Box S. That leaves 512 MB and 9 GB of disk space, so you can fit up to 66 more apps from the catalog. No extra charge, because you pay for the Box, not the apps themselves.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I find the username and password?
Use the credentials for your MySQL or MariaDB database. When you connect a database module during installation, the credentials are saved to PHPMYADMIN-SETUP.txt. phpMyAdmin does not have a separate administrator account.
Does the installation create a database?
No. You first need MySQL or MariaDB on this Box. Without a connected module, the panel tries to connect to the local port 3306.
Does it support PostgreSQL or MongoDB?
No. phpMyAdmin supports MySQL and MariaDB. For other database engines, use a client designed for them.
Are all visitors logged in automatically?
No. The panel requires database credentials when you log in. The setup does not enable automatic login or let you choose an arbitrary external server.
Do I need server administration skills?
No. We handle the container, domain, SSL certificate, and system updates. Click phpMyAdmin in the dashboard, and within seconds you'll have an address and password.
What if I run out of storage or memory?
You can change your plan from the dashboard, and additional memory is added without restarting the application. You don't need to move your data or set anything up again.
Can phpMyAdmin run on my own domain?
Yes. Connect your own domain or use the free saploapp.pl subdomain. The SSL certificate is generated automatically.
Who owns my data?
You do. Your data is stored in a dedicated container, not on a shared account. Every day, we make an off-site backup to a data center in Finland on every plan.
Can I run other apps alongside phpMyAdmin?
Yes. The number of apps and domains in your Box is unlimited. Your plan's memory and disk space are the limits.
What if I don't like it?
Saplo.io is not live yet. We'll add you to the waiting list and let you know when the first Box plans become available.
We are not the cheapest. For 5 € a month, you can get a shared hosting plan that will be enough for a simple website. Saplo makes sense when you want to run your own apps, have SSH access, and avoid sharing your server with a thousand unrelated sites.
