Your own containerA dedicated account, not a shared one
FreshRSS is an open-source RSS and Atom reader inspired by the old Google Reader. It offers folder views, tags, keyboard shortcuts, and its own API compatible with Fever and Google Reader, so it works with mobile apps such as Reeder and FeedMe. SQLite is built in, so there is no additional database to maintain. It is an open-source alternative to paid plans from Inoreader and Feedly.
Who it's for- Anyone who follows many blogs and websites and remembers the Google Reader layout
- People who read feeds mainly on their phone through an app that supports the Fever or Google Reader API
- A team that wants a shared, private source of industry news organized into folders

FreshRSS uses 256 MB of the 1 GB memory included with Box S. That leaves 512 MB and 8 GB of disk space, so you can fit up to 66 more apps from the catalog. No extra charge, because you pay for the Box, not the apps themselves.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need server administration skills?
No. We handle the container, domain, SSL certificate, and system updates. Click FreshRSS in the dashboard, and within seconds you'll have an address and password.
What if I run out of storage or memory?
You can change your plan from the dashboard, and additional memory is added without restarting the application. You don't need to move your data or set anything up again.
Can FreshRSS run on my own domain?
Yes. Connect your own domain or use the free saploapp.pl subdomain. The SSL certificate is generated automatically.
Who owns my data?
You do. Your data is stored in a dedicated container, not on a shared account. Every day, we make an off-site backup to a data center in Finland on every plan.
Can I run other apps alongside FreshRSS?
Yes. The number of apps and domains in your Box is unlimited. Your plan's memory and disk space are the limits.
What if I don't like it?
Saplo.io is not live yet. We'll add you to the waiting list and let you know when the first Box plans become available.
We are not the cheapest. For 5 € a month, you can get a shared hosting plan that will be enough for a simple website. Saplo makes sense when you want to run your own apps, have SSH access, and avoid sharing your server with a thousand unrelated sites.
